Dr. Dhwani Shah is a general and cosmetic dentist in Allen, TX. Her strong focus on dental education allows her and her patients to formulate treatment strategies together, providing the opportunity for them to be active participants in their dental care. Beyond that, she provides a warm and friendly atmosphere and experience for her patients and their families. Her practice philosophy centers on conservative, esthetic and comprehensive dentistry while using state-of-the-art technology and techniques.

A California native, Dr. Shah received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from University of the Pacific (UOP). She completed a Masters of Science (M.S) degree in Global Medicine from University of Southern California (USC) and another Masters of Science (M.S) degree in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University. She graduated with high honors in her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S) from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in Los Angeles. She completed a General Practice Residency at the Loma Linda Veterans Affairs Hospital, where she provided dental care for medically, physically and mentally challenged patients.

As an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT), American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM), Dr. Shah continues to participate in continuing education courses (500+ hours completed) and surrounds herself with some of the best dental practitioners in the field.

When she is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Shah enjoys writing children's books, exploring the national parks with her husband and deepening her yoga practice. She's a chai connoisseur, so feel free to ask her about any delicious recommendations!
