Following this, he attended the University of Mississippi Medical Center under an Institution of Higher Learning scholarship and received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree.

He is also passionate about volunteering as a tutor and mentor in underserved schools, having worked for organizations such as AmeriCorps and School on Wheels.
