For optimal results, it is advisable to wear SureSmile® aligners for a minimum of 20-22 hours daily. The aligners should only be removed for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing. Consistent wear ensures the effectiveness of the treatment.
SureSmile®® Clear Aligners treatment involves a series of custom aligner trays that gradually shift teeth into the desired position. Utilizing advanced technology, these aligners are replaced approximately every week. Each new set continues the progression of tooth movement until the desired alignment is achieved.
In general, SureSmile®® clear Aligners are more comfortable than traditional braces. While some patients may experience temporary discomfort or pressure during transitioning to a new set of aligners, it typically diminishes within a few days. The aligners are designed to fit snugly, minimizing irritation.
Maintaining clean SureSmile® aligners is crucial for good oral hygiene. Rinse the aligners with lukewarm water before wearing or after removal. Gently brush the aligners with a soft toothbrush and mild toothpaste to eliminate buildup.
